CONSIDERATIONS
Eligibility
To be eligible for a grant, your organization must:

Be a public charity recognized as tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Have a positive financial standing and a current financial audit conducted by an independent, certified public accountant.

In policy and practice not discriminate based on age, race, creed, gender, gender identity,
religion, sexual orientation, and ethnicity.
Funding Priorities
The Lawrence Wisne Foundation is primarily interested in projects that benefit Southeast Michigan. The project must align with Foundation principles and address one of three funding areas: Education Initiatives, Child Wellbeing, or Health. Projects that align with the Foundation’s values have a better chance of being successful.
RESTRICTIONS
The Foundation does not provide support for operating expenses, endowments, loans, religious activities, lobbying or political purposes, capital projects, fundraising events, or conferences.
